What happens in my Bespoke Facial?

Over the years I have visited salons for facials and decision fatigue has stopped me from booking an appointment. I know my skin is in need of TLC but I really don’t have the bandwidth to read the entire facial menu to decide what is correct for my skin— I always thought “isn’t that their job?”
When I set up my TreatmentRoom it was a no brainer for me. I would streamline my menu and offer a Bespoke Facial. This would be an umbrella term for essentially a damn good service, for exactly what you need on the day. You are welcome!
7 years on, the only exception to this is Microneedling which is a completely different entity. If I think this is something you need, i will explain it all to you face to face.
Right now is a really good time of year to treat your skin to a refresh and a kick start. A good facial boosts your skincare routine and the results will last weeks.
So.. What happens in a Bespoke Facial?
Well, the answer is, it depends..
Some times I spend longer on the exfoliation part of the service and other times I will spend longer infusing the skin with appropriate actives, sometimes massage is appropriate and in others I will need to do extractions.
Some clients like to chat, others prefer to rest..
I tailor my treatments to my clients unique needs and no two facials look the same. Please note, I am more than happy to honour any requests you have and will discuss this during your consultation.
Here is an overview on my last 3 clients.. which one sounds most like a bit of you?
Client 1: My most common protocol for a general skin tune up.
This client has regular facials every 4-6 weeks and a great skincare routine to boot.
Deep cleanse, acid peel* (custom blended containing glycolic and mandelic to brighten the complexion, help even out pigmentation, allow deeper penetration of active ingredients) enzyme peel, peptide & hyaluronic acid infusion, BiPolar Radio Frequency, Hyaluronic Acid sheet mask with non-needle mesotherapy.
Client 2: This client arrived in complete turmoil. Really stressed and exhausted.
I tucked her in between the two duvets, lit a candle and got my sage out. I invited my client to switch off and relax. After a deep cleanse I spent about 30 minutes massaging my clients face and neck ( Obviously I used a cocktail of skin loving actives to improve texture and tone.) This client had really parched skin so needed a major dose of nourishment. I finished with a gentle enzyme peel, Hyaluronic Acid sheet mask with non-needle mesotherapy.
Client 3: Congested Skin
I started out with a really long cleanse, taking time to massage the cleanser into the skin to soften any blackheads. I then took my time extracting anything that really needed to be extracted (Don’t try this at home, I could literally talk about this all day) I used a sterilised needle to extract a few milia. Next I used high frequency to regenerate the skin and kill off any bacteria.
This client needed a potent, customised peel to regenerate the skin and to regulate sebum production. I mixed up a cocktail of azelaic acid, salicylic acid, lactic and glycolic acid at the perfect concentration . (This is another topic I could talk about all day and the perfect peel takes years to master - please don’t try strong peels at home) This facial was completed with a Hyaluronic Acid sheet mask with non-needle mesotherapy.
*I customise my acid peels so therefore can treat all Fitzpatrick types. If you are Fitzpatrick 5 or above it may be necessary to patch test your skin prior to your treatment and/or build up the strength of actives mores slowly. Please book a complimentary consultation if you wish to discuss in more detail.
