1.Facial treatments and professional customised advice:
If you are planning your wedding, no matter how far advance, my advice would be to get booked in for a Bespoke Facial asap. During this treatment I will assess your skin and give you invaluable bespoke skincare advice to get your skin in top shape prior to the big event.
Ultimately, the better your skin looks without make up, the better it will look with make up.
For Bridal skin we are really prioritising two areas of skin health;
Clearing out lumps and bumps that will catch the light and make the skin appear uneven.
Deeply hydrating the skin for maximum luminosity. A well hydrated skin will allow your make up to last all day.
The longer we have before the big day, the better results will be however don't underestimate the results we can see after one facial.
A really good facial before the main event can yeild fantastic results. Skin can appear smoother, more even and plumped up giving you that all important glow.
Make up will look and last so much better if you have a facial right before the big day.
If a bride has fairly normal, balanced skin then monthly facials on the build up to the wedding day are always a really good idea.
I would likely suggest a course of facial treatments including peels, mesotherapy and possibly micro needling.
Please remember that your treatment plan would be unique to you, your skin need, your budget and time.
Home care routine:
My whole ethos is to give you a bespoke treatment and subsequent skincare recommendations.Bridal skincare (like all skincare) is unique to you.
This serves as a general guide.
Home care routine:
Facials are high impact but you need to treat your skin correctly every day.
I like to meet a client face to face and recommend a bespoke skincare routine that will suit them.. there are so many products out there, this is a general base.
2. Cleanse (don’t scroll past this one, are you nailing this step?)
Take your cleansing up a notch.
To tackle potential lumps and bumps under the skin take a little longer at this step.
Double cleansing (twice at night), warm cloth cleansing (with a clean flannel every day) and not rushing, ensuring that you work all the way out to the hairline, ears and neck will improve your skin.
The correct cleanser should leave your skin feeling soft and clean, not tight, not greasy.
3. Hyaluronic Acid
This magic ingredient is a super hydrator and anti inflammatory so used correctly it has the power to keep your skin dewy and this will be the step that gives your make up staying power.
Mixed molecular weight hyualronic acid serums are the best way to ensure you have hydration at every layer of skin.
(My facials feature next generation Hyaluronic acid to give you maximum glow)
4. SPF
This is always an essential step for skin health. You may not see any overnight results from using SPF however it will help keep your melanin levels balanced resulting in a more evening looking complexion.
5. Skincare Watch Outs :
Other ingredients such as niacinamide and vitamin C, exfoliating acids and retinoids are really useful in skincare.
These actives can be irritating so you need to ensure that you are not introducing these too close to the big day to avoid reactions.
Carefully chosen actives help to take your skin to the next level. I do emphasise ‘carefully chosen’ as often my clients are using products they really don’t need because of seductive marketing. Make sure you seek expert advice from someone who really understands the skin.
Facials:
I perform a thorough consultation prior to your treatment. If time is not on our side before the big day then I will make my suggestions with this in mind.
Most brides will have a course of treatments leading up to the big day including a range of modalities including micro needling, non needle mesotherapy, peels, and various other technologies all centred around getting a glow :)
Following your treatment with me, I send bespoke skincare advice direct to your email address.
Q&A
What facial is right for me?
I suggest starting with a Bespoke Facial. This will be tailor made to your skin goals. I may also recommend micro needling.
Some clients like to know exactly what I am using on their skin in every treatment, others prefer to lay back and let me get on with it. Please just let me know if you have a preference.
Help, I’ve left it last minute, what can I do?
You will be amazed at the immediate impact one facial can do. Just get booked in as soon as you can and do not stress.
